It’s that time of year again and the festive spirit has once more encompassed the ETE work force.
With the factory and offices laced with sparkling tinsel and brightly coloured lights even the most scrooge-like individual would be hard pushed not to sing a Christmas carol.
Today marked ETE’s second annual Xmas Jumper Day in which the company contributes a donation to a nominated charity each year for every member of staff who turns up to work wearing a Christmas jumper.
This year ETE pledged to donate £10 per participating employee to Guide Dogs.
Guide Dogs “provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people”, “campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment”, “educate the public about eye care”, and “fund eye disease research”.
It was a very successful day with 15 of the 16 members of staff at work today turning up in their finest Christmas threads. This, along with personal donations, accumulated a total of £193 being donated to Guide Dogs.
The day provided much fun and laughter and acted as the perfect appetiser for tonight’s ETE Christmas meal at the One Bull in Bury St Edmunds.
Merry Christmas from all at ETE
Thank you to everybody who turned up in their Christmas jumper and for all the donations received.
Lastly, a close up of a forgetful Martin Taylor donning his very stylish green tinsel as punishment for failing to turn up in his Christmas jumper!
Say cheese…
